Tēnā koutou katoa. My name is Selina and I am one of the two Deputy Principals at Feilding Intermediate. I have taught a range of ages throughout my 17 year teaching career; however, have focused predominantly on working with young adolescents. I was born in Feilding (a few years ago now) so it has been great to return to my place of birth to teach. This is my 6th year at Feilding Intermediate.
Kia Ora, My name is Matt and I have been teaching at Feilding Intermediate for 12 years. I am passionate about all aspects of teaching and learning with particular interests in the environment, science, music, art and technology. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and 4 children, beekeeping, gardening and mountain biking.
Feilding Intermediate has a full time technology team offering students practical knowledge and skills as they develop models, products and systems in hard materials, food technology, visual art and fabric.
Feilding Intermediate has a proud tradition of excellence in sports – across a range of codes. We have large numbers of children participating in sports teams, and are able to cater for differing levels of ability, experience and competitiveness.
Feilding Intermediate offers a vast array of cultural experiences for children to participate and excel in. Opportunities include kapahaka, dance and drama, music lessons and the school band. We have competed nationally at Cheerleading, and we are regular winners at Wearable Arts. We have an enthusiastic Culture and Arts team who are always on the lookout for other opportunities for our children to perform, engage or be artistically challenged.
