Teacher - Ngā pouako

Kia ora whānau.
My name is Dean Parsons, and I feel extremely privileged to be teaching at Feilding Intermediate School. I have previously taught junior, middle and senior school at primary level – both in single cell classrooms and modern learning environments (MLE). Having an understanding of these curriculum areas helps me quickly establish what is required for struggling learners. Furthermore, I am able to identify any areas which may need addressing for higher levelled learners, as well as extending them further.

I have two children, a son and a daughter, both of whom have been through intermediate schooling. Therefore, I am very familiar with the requirements needed for emerging adolescents of this age.
I enjoy playing chess, watching movies, riding my motorbike and spending time with my tamariki.

I have an open door policy, and very much value parental input. Please feel free to introduce yourself at any time. Creating solid school / home relationships can only strengthen and enhance your child’s success.
