Message from the
Principal

Tēnā koutou katoa, ngā mihi nui ki a koutou.

Welcome to Feilding Intermediate School.

I am proud and privileged to be the newly appointed principal, and I am excited to welcome you to our school community. Our learner centred mission statement of promoting learning and caring in an environment which respects the uniqueness of each individual underpins all our decision making.

Our committed and dedicated staff work collaboratively with whānau to deliver a wide variety of engaging and challenging learning opportunities for all students. Our school is designed to meet the unique needs of young adolescents, with a wide range of challenging activities including sporting, arts, cultural and academic endeavours. There are also significant opportunities for leadership across the school.

Feilding Intermediate offers adolescent learners a unique opportunity to learn and develop through our Interest Centres. The centres enable students to make choices about what contexts they find the most engaging, and teachers then strive to integrate the core subjects of literacy and numeracy, into these contexts.

As a whānau member at Feilding Intermediate, you can expect to be warmly welcomed into our school community, and kept up to date about your child’s progress and achievement. You are always welcome to visit our school, and we look forward to working with you.

Ngā mihi
